Event Recap: Ol pejeta x tembo Collection Launch
Christopher Martin Gallery, Dallas — May 30, 2025
A Night Where Art Became Impact
On May 30th, Dallas witnessed an unforgettable evening at the Christopher Martin Gallery, where fine art, fashion, and purpose converged. The event marked the debut of Mital Patel’s Ol Pejeta Conservation Series Exhibition alongside the launch of the Tembo Collection, a wearable art line that transforms wildlife encounters into luxury apparel, with proceeds supporting critical conservation efforts in Kenya.
“This exhibition was about more than art, it was about impact,” says Mital Patel. “Every image carried a responsibility, and every guest who walked through the doors helped move the mission forward. I’m deeply grateful to Dallas for showing up in such a powerful, meaningful way.”
Global Voices, Local Stage
Guests were welcomed by a striking banner featuring one of Patel’s most iconic photographs: Zacharia Mutai, head caretaker of the last two northern white rhinos on Earth, standing with Najin at Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
Adding extraordinary depth to the evening, Zacharia Mutai and Justin Heath, CEO of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, traveled from Kenya to Dallas to share firsthand stories of resilience, caretaking, and hope.
“We are humbled by the warm welcome we experienced in Dallas,” Heath shared. “It is my hope that the stories and experiences we’ve shared have inspired a connection and passion for wildlife. Come join our story to safeguard these precious species by visiting us at Ol Pejeta in Kenya or by supporting our journey.”
Auction & Impact
The night featured exclusive limited-edition prints of Patel’s photography and Tembo Collection pieces, blending art and fashion into direct impact. Together with sales proceeds, the event fueled Tembo Collection’s first $15,000 donation to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a milestone toward the collective goal of $50,000 in 2025.
Every guest in attendance became part of that legacy: wearing values, protecting the wild, and turning inspiration into measurable action.
Carrying the Mission Forward
The Dallas event was only the beginning. Through the Tembo Collection, Patel is creating a movement at the intersection of art, fashion, and conservation. Each limited-edition piece is a story you can wear—helping to protect the very wildlife that inspired it.
